Doug and Ingrid Swailes are the kind of couple who inspire you to cheer them on in life. The two met decades ago on a sparkly New Year’s Eve, back when Ingrid was the heart and soul of her own karaoke business in New York.


A natural at bringing joy to others, she was already a force before making a bold pivot to the health-oriented world of massage therapy. Trading microphones for healing hands, she’s spent the past 28 years helping others find relief and wellness—proving that her gift for uplifting people extends far beyond the stage.


Doug is the steady foundation to Ingrid’s spark—the engineer with a mind wired for precision and problem-solving. Together, they’re a perfect balance of creativity and logic, a powerhouse duo turning milestones into memories. And this year? They’re celebrating a big one—20 years of marriage! That’s a love story worth cheering for.

The Swailes latest adventure, though, is what’s got folks buzzing: A healthy high-tech business with Vollara.


It all started when Ingrid’s friend Mia Oddo, a fellow massage therapist in West Palm Beach, introduced her to something new—Vollara’s ActivePure technology. Mia spoke highly of it. “Mia has asthma and allergies,” Ingrid recalls. “She told me that after bringing ActivePure into her space, she noticed a real difference. That really stuck with me.”


At first, they weren’t even thinking about a business. The Air and Surface Pro unit was simply something they appreciated for their own home—helping to freshen the air and reduce allergens. Ingrid, no stranger to the challenges of allergy season, was impressed by the difference it made. But then Mia started mentioning the business side of things, and that’s when Doug’s engineer mindset took over. Their focus was clear—helping those dealing with asthma, allergies, and mold, especially as the Covid pandemic raged on. The business was gaining momentum until May, when life demanded they step back. During that time, their ActivePure unit continued running in the background—a quiet presence in their home, offering a sense of stability through it all.


Then came the moment that reignited their drive. In August 2021, Mia shared a success story that stopped them in their tracks. It was a clear sign of the potential in this business—one they couldn’t ignore. From that moment, they committed fully. They ramped up their outreach, sharing their experience with others, and the response was overwhelming. Before long, they had reached Gold Executive status, with interest growing rapidly—especially as their distributors introduced the technology to businesses and schools.

The couple admitted they had sworn off network marketing years ago after past experiences left them hesitant. Vollara felt different—tangible, worthwhile. Determined to stay engaged, they tapped into the company’s Zoom calls, consistently sharing the products and business opportunity with anyone willing to listen. Ingrid, who never imagined herself speaking in front of an audience, found her confidence growing with every conversation. What once felt intimidating became second nature as she and Doug spread the word.


That’s when they met Tiffany Bock, a distributor with a vision as bold as her ambition. She jumped in with full force, quickly gaining traction and achieving remarkable success, climbing from Gold to Platinum Executive in record time. Now, they’re fully committed, teaming up each week with Vollara Platinum 5-Star Ambassadors, Robia Turner and Heather Jackson. Together, they’ve adopted the motto BMW—Build More Width—a guiding principle in their strategy. Doug is focusing on expanding their retail efforts, ensuring steady growth, while they work toward strengthening their network with 10 to 15 solid legs. “It’s all about securing that Gold and Platinum status,” Doug says, his determination unmistakable. “When we get there, it’s going to be a game-changer—stable, sustainable, and built to last.” Ingrid nods, her voice filled with unwavering confidence: “We’re just getting started.” And you believe her.
